How To Enable ‘Find My iPhone’ on iPhone
Step 1: Go To ‘Settings’
Step 2: Click on Your iCloud Account
Tap on your account at the top.
Step 3: Select ‘iCloud’
Step 4: Tap on ‘Find My iPhone’
Step 5: Enable ‘Find my iPhone’ and ‘Send Last Location’
Enabling ‘Find my iPhone’ turns on the app. It monitors your iPhone’s whereabouts in case you lose it. It’s smart to have this feature on at all times.
Enabling ‘Send Last Location’ will send out your location when the iPhone’s battery is critically low.
How To Find Lost iPhone, Even If Battery Is Dead
You can find a lost iPhone on another iPhone, even if the battery is dead.
Step 1: Launch The ‘Find My iPhone’ App
Step 2: Log Into Your iCloud Account
If the account it’s logged into is not yours, make sure to sign out and log in to your own iCloud account.
Step 3: Choose The Missing iPhone From The List
Select your missing iPhone from the list once you have successfully signed in.
After tapping on the device, it will then show you the location of where it was before the battery died.
Step 4: Tap on ‘Actions’
Step 5: Click on The Car Icon
Once you click on the car icon, it will give you directions to the last location your iPhone was detected.
How To Find Lost iPhone on The Computer
You can also track your lost iPhone on the computer, even if the battery is dead.
Step 1: Launch Browser
Step 2: Go To icloud.com
Step 3: Sign Into Your iCloud Account
Step 4: Tap on ‘All Devices’
Step 5: Select Lost iPhone on The List
Once you have selected the device, a map will then show the last location the iPhone was detected before the battery died.
Head over to the shown location to retrieve the missing iPhone.

You may have seen by now that there’s a ‘Lost Mode’ option when locating your lost device using the ‘Find my iPhone’ app. Turning on the ‘Lost Mode’ will lock your device automatically.
